Projects prepared by MConBio students nominating areas for World Heritage listing have resulted in two areas being placed on New Zealand's tentative list for World Heritage sites:
1) Kermadec Islands and Marine Reserve;
2) Whakarua Moutere, or the North-East Islands, including Poor Knights Islands.
